What am I looking at?
This painting is all about the variations of color and texture in "warm dark" - reds, browns, black, purple, orange, and all the shades in between. There are many many layers, and in the larger center band there are no distinct edges even though there is a noticeable change of color from one area to another. Some of the texture is organic and seems to grow, and some of the texture is abraded and worn or scratched. Within these variations, there are many "paths" to follow. Let your eye wander and see where it lands.

Local Pickup: no charge
If you pick up at the studio, I will appropriately wrap the painting for hand-carry transport at no charge. This may be bubble wrap, stretch film, and potentially cardboard (depending on the size of the piece) but will not include a box or crate.
